5 Things I’ve Stopped Doing at Work:

Overrated: Habitually conforming.

Underrated: Protecting your ambition and peace.

It’s so easy to succumb to what most people expect you to do.

Especially when you’re working a corporate job.

But guess what?

Just because everyone else is doing it, doesn’t mean it’s serving you and your priorities.

Here are 5 things I have stopped doing at work

(and what I’m doing instead):

Becoming more protective of where and how you spend your time and energy can truly accelerate your career AND positively impact your wellbeing.

There is no one size fits all.

Some people might love taking early meetings or drinking alcohol.

What’s important is that you take ownership of YOUR time and how YOUR actions impact your professional and personal trajectory.

💸 Cooking up Wealth

Being disciplined when it comes to your financial goals

Last week, I shared that I had reached a significant financial milestone on my Instagram story: Having funded more than half of my “Fuck You Fund” (more on why I strongly believe EVERY woman should have a FU Fund here).

One of my community members replied to my story asking how I was able to be disciplined enough to not just spend that money and splurge.

And because I thought this question might be relevant to more people, I wanted to pull back the curtain and share the brief conversation we had with all of you.

Key takeaways and questions you should ask yourself:

  • How can I make my savings less accessible so I can pretend the money doesn’t even exist to prevent temptation? (I, of course, would highly recommend putting it in a High Yield Savings Account - I personally use this one)

  • If I were to visualize my future, what higher purpose would these savings serve? (Are you saving for your dream home, a sabbatical, turning your passion into your career, traveling around the world, retiring your parents?)

  • Saving is not about depriving yourself. It’s about having a real honest conversation with yourself about what actually adds value to your life and prioritizing and de-prioritizing accordingly.

I don’t believe in money shaming. Shame and guilt are indicative of a scarcity mindset. An abundance mindset is what will lead to true wealth, wealth that you and your loved ones can actually enjoy.

Disclaimer: This is not investment advice, it’s meant to be educational only, always do your own research.
