I get asked this question all the time:

How do you do it all?

Balancing a demanding job in tech with speaking, advising, creating content while also having a personal life.

Here’s the not so glamorous truth:

➡️ I work pretty much every weekend (content creation, taking courses to upskill, implementing coaches’ feedback, testing new (AI) tools)

➡️ I rarely see friends during the week unless it’s for a (professional/networking) event after work

➡️ I only see my family twice a year because I left my home country 10+ years ago

➡️ I don’t socialize with coworkers after work, happy hour is a distant memory for me at this point (don’t really drink anymore anyway) because I either open up my laptop again or do a wellness focused activity when I get home

➡️ I don’t “go out” much anymore and prefer sauna/cold plunge Friday nights instead

➡️ Most of the time, my brain is so wired from everything that’s going on that it’s almost impossible to switch off

Anything but glamorous.

This is not for everyone.

But these are the sacrifices I very consciously make.

Because they serve a higher purpose.

The purpose of slowly but surely building a life optimized towards 2 things:

✅ freedom of time AND

✅ freedom of choice
